Dora Township
Dora Township is located in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. The county seat is in Fergus Falls, MN.
The township was organized in 1879. It is named after Sedelia Isadora "Dora" (Woodruff) Thomas, the wife of Ellis L. Thomas, one of Dora Township's founding fathers (Source: Wikipedia).
As of the 2000 census, there were 726 people, 305 households, and 239 families residing in Dora township.
The township consists primarily of farmland and lakes. Major lakes are: Alice, East Silent, East Spirit, Hoffman, Round, Sybil, West Silent, West Spirit.
The town board consists of one chairman, two supervisors, a clerk and a treasurer. Meetings are held at the CDH Vergas Fire Hall in Vergas, MN.

The annual meeting is March 11th starting at 8:15 PM.
The township election is being held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on March 11th. Voters will be voting for 1) 3-year term for Supervisor, and 1) 2-year term for Treasurer.
The Canvass Board will meet on March 12th, at 6:00 PM to certify the election results.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Administer township policies, ordinances, and budget. Communicate with residents.
TOWNSHIP ROADS
Provide for year round maintenance of Dora Township roadways.
ELECTIONS
Administer and oversee township, state and national election process for residents.
FIRE & RESCUE
Support the services of our local C.D.H. Vergas Fire & Rescue Association.
